Rachel Baek, PhD.

Dr. Baek is a Staff Neuropsychologist at the Behavioral Health Dept. of Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience Center, Honolulu, Hawaii.  She received her doctoral degree at Yeshiva University in Bronx, NY. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Dr. Baek holds a Masters degree in Nutrition Science from Columbia University and a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University.  
She specializes in adult and geriatric neuropsychological assessments. She has extensive clinical experience in assessment and diagnosis of various neurological and medical conditions such as dementia, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, tumor as well as mood and affective disorders. She has also provided psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, adjustment disorders, and mood disorders.

Dr. Baek is also a Sub Investigator at the Research, Innovation and Clinical Trial Unit at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience.  She has served as a rater for ADAS-Cog, NPI, CGIC and other testings in various neurological clinical trials.  In addition to her clinical work, she has authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented research findings from diverse patient populations including epilepsy, dementia, and diabetes, at national conferences. Dr. Baek is bilingual in Korean and English and is competent in cultural awareness and sensitivity.
