Dr. Barbara Pitts is an experimental psychologist, originally from San Diego, California. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of San Diego and her MSc in Developmental Neuropsychology from the University of Essex, in Colchester, England. Her research work in England focused on the neuropsychology of language, especially as it relates to bilingualism. She then went on to earn her PhD in Applied Experimental Psychology from the Catholic University of America, in Washington, D.C., where her doctoral level research focused on mental health disorders in military members, especially those related to combat deployment. Dr. Pitts currently serves as adjunct faculty at Honolulu Community College, Hawaii Pacific University, and Argosy University and remains involved in military and veteran research.
